Flew to Amsterdam with a 2 hr layover in London
where we met our flat-swapper and exchanged keys
and saw one another for the first time.
Then, the 40 minute flight to Amsterdam.
Since we're arranging to live and do business here part-time,
and to mesh with the whole "homestay" feel of the trip,
we wound up in a gay guesthouse that rented these tiny
studio apartments in a typical Dutch canalhouse. No
reception desk, no room service. But we had our own
keys, our OWN PHONE and ANSWERING MACHINE!!
That's us again, just behind the tree (look for the fag flag)
This is the entire block (again, we're behind the tree
second from the left.) Pretty, huh?
All these photos were taken on our block of canal.
The weather was good, and even when it wasn't, it
didn't matter. Amsterdam is the kind of city you wake up
in and don't mind if it's raining or cold or whether you have
any plans or not. It is a fantastic place to just look around and be.
